Two of us arrived at 10pm on Friday evening without a reservation and the staff were happy to serve us. We’d already walked past three curry houses in the town centre with no customers, but this place still had people in which I think must be testament to their reputation. Service was good and friendly, and we never felt rushed. Poppadoms fresh and addictive, king prawn puri and lamb chop tikka starters both really tasty. Fish curry (madras? and chicken dansak for mains, boiled rice and a really soft fresh peshwari naan. If we’d only been having mains we might have found the portions a little small, but as part of a larger meal they were great. Would love to see some more dessert options, but the mango kulfi we shared was nice. A bottle of house wine at around £23, so not cheap but not extortionate either. Everything felt clean and cared for. Overall we’d really recommend, and we’ll be returning!
