Boombozz Pizza Taphouse - Louisville

Second time here and it was all that you qould like to find in a pizza place. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We ordered the potato kegs the are sinfully delicious. They are like tater tots that have grown up crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with some surprises. Then we got the new York style pizza as was recommended the first time we were here. The pizza has a fantastic crust so much so that the girlfriend who normally does not eat the crust finished it all. Everything had a great balance from. The sauce to the cheese and toppings. And I had the wings. The first time I got the green chili and they were great I would of liked a little more heat but the flavor was spot on. And I had the buffalo the second time and they had the classic old school taste that we all love. The wings were meaty not some wimpy wings. They have a huge beer selection and tons of tvs . This is a fantastic place to watch a game or when you need your pizza fix. Great service and great food. I can't wait to come back.

Ate dinner last Thursday, only meal of the day and got a horrible case of food poisoning. Food tasted ok but have been sick for the last 2 days. Something is not righ with their food prep.

As part of my job I recommend restaurants and place orders for private groups. Any time I have ever had to order last minute or needed my order within an hour, Boombozz Westport Rd. has never failed me. I have always been provided a superior product and service. Their cuisine has been enjoyed by my clients time and time again; and they are always blown away by the flavors! I'm very appreciative of the staff of this restaurant and how they handle and expedite these large orders. I have yet to have an issue, and I don't expect to ever have one. This restaurant is doing everything right. Many other restaurants in the city should take note. Customer service is the number one thing lacking in the restaurant industry today as well as retail, and well, Boombozz, they are on top of the game on all levels.

What has happened to the original Tony Boombaaz pizzas. When Boombaaz was on Frankfort Ave I could give 5 stars every time. The Crust, the right combination of toppings the sauce, the variety of Pizzas. I very seldom want pizza but when I do I always choose Boombaaz. But...... tonight. Well I ordered the Quantro pizza thin crust and when I got home I had some all white cheese pizza. I called and the girl that took my call said the person was new that took my order and I could get a voucher or come get the correct Pizza Quantro) . We were hungry so I chose to drive back to get the correct pizza. Well when I got back home it may have been the correct pizza but it barely and I mean barely had anything on it. I wondered since I ordered thin crust did that mean thin toppings??? I have ordered in the past thin crust and had the same good portions of toppings. This was like a appetizer pizza. I couldn't get satisfied with just eating crust. The flavors were there but it was like a tease pizza. We were so disappointed and we are hoping this is not the norm for our Favorite Pizza. I will say the Customer Service was excellent but I want an excellent pizza.

In a city with amazing pizza, how tf does boombozz exist. The boneless wings are sauced, Tyson chicken nuggets. The sauces are dull and uninspiring. The thin crust pizzas are doughy. Overall this was an unfortunate dining experience that left me speechless at the number of dollars spent vs the quality. I would say the service was great but no one appeared to want to be there. There was no energy. If you want pizza, there is a dominos down the street and a myriad of better options.
