Porch Kitchen - Louisville

I genuinely wanted to enjoy my breakfast, but it took an eternity for my eggs to be prepared, and by the time my meal arrived, my companions had already finished theirs. I tried to stay positive, but the server seemed overwhelmed when I requested a cup of coffee. She rolled her eyes and dropped the cup onto the table, which felt a bit aggressive. Although the restaurant wasn't busy when we got there, the staff appeared rushed and apologetic about the delays. Eventually, my breakfast arrived, but it wasn't even quite what I had ordered. This place has potential, but both the kitchen and the waitstaff could use some improvement.

The restaurant had a warm welcome and a lively atmosphere. The food and drinks were delicious!

As for the restaurant itself, Porch was only moderately busy. Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared correctly, with standout dishes being the Buttercake and the wedge salad. Our server was friendly, but his visits to our table were infrequent, occurring roughly every 10-15 minutes. When our dessert arrived, we had to wait about 5-10 minutes for spoons; the host eventually brought us forks, and the front-of-house manager finally delivered the spoons for the ice cream. The pork chop and filet were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Overall, I would likely return, but I would choose to park in the garage across the street and hope for a bit more timely service.

Service was great. Appetizers and dessert were delicious. It was a bit noisy but we were there at a busy time.
