Smokey Bones Jeffersontown - Louisville

We ordered a cornbread appetizer and our drinks, but it took over 20 minutes just to get our drinks, with the cornbread arriving even later. We had requested water alongside our cocktails, but that never came. Meanwhile, I noticed our waitress was busy attending to multiple tables while other staff members were sitting at the bar or chatting near the food window. After waiting 40 minutes with no food or water, we decided to ask for our check. The waitress was very apologetic, explaining that it was only her second day on the job. I felt sorry for her, as it was clear she needed assistance, but no one else, not even her manager, seemed to support her. When I requested to speak to the manager, I was disappointed to see her blame the waitress for the situation. I found this response to be extremely unprofessional and rude, especially since the waitress was the only one actively serving outside the kitchen. I haven't returned to this location since, even after they offered us a gift card for our next visit. I plan to keep it until I find myself in another city, as I won't be returning to this Smokey Bones for quite some time.

However, I found the beer prices to be quite high, which was my main issue. On the plus side, the place was clean, and the service was friendly.

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and the service is generally quite good—although my last experience wasn't the best, which I attribute to one less-than-great waitress. I ordered the BLT burger, and it was quite tasty; however, I wish I had requested more garlic mayo to give it an extra kick. My fiancé had the Smoky brisket sandwich, which he described as heavenly, but he wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw, finding it lacking in freshness.

I've always had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. While the service can sometimes vary, the food never disappoints! I highly recommend trying the burgers or the nachos topped with pulled pork. Their pulled pork is exceptional, even compared to many barbecue spots, and the nachos are enormous! It's definitely worth a visit!

Good BBQ. I had the baby back ribs combo, including wings, with fries and apples. A good combo to have. The wife was disappointed that pot pie was taken off the menu. I like the atmosphere here alot, with the TVs playing sports and music.
