The location is in the middle of nowhere, the teen taking care of us was unprofessional in every way. The host had her AirPods in and a moody attitude. I suspect she was also cooking because even though there was only 4 of us at the time it took about 30 mins to get our food…the place was empty. To top it all off the minute 2 other customers walked in and sat down she had a mental breakdown talking about her long hours and how we were her first costumers she’s had in days. Honestly what an experience.
Nice addition to the Bethlehem area. Went here on a Saturday we were the first people at 6pm. Seating is spacious nice wooden tables with colorful chairs and art work. Food came quickly and served on a metal tray. We both ordered the peri peri mild chicken and it was moist and delicious. Only complaint is, I could’ve eaten more chicken the portion was small! I had two sides…spinach with peanut sauce and the chakalaka beans. The beans had a mild heat to it and the spinach was delicious with a creamy peanut sauce. My friend had the corn and enjoyed it. The corn was on the cob and cut up and grilled. We got water bottles because they didn’t offer table water with lemon? The owner came out and spoke to us and was very charming! It is nice to have different ethnic restaurants in the area and I will be returning to try more delicious dishes! They also have another restaurant in Easton called Hoza restaurant!
The staff was very polite nice atmosphere you have to experience it for yourself
A good addition to the food scene in center of Bethlehem. We tried this African restaurant for the first time tonight. We got some beef samosas to start. They were piping hot and quite flavorful. Our family got a whole peri peri chicken with three large side dishes of fried rice, collard green with peanuts, and french fries. Grilled chicken with peri peri sauce was great, the sauce had a subtle bite to it. The sides complemented the protein very well. But... no garden salad, and no tea, not even a bush tea.Over all it was a pleasant experience. Food was good, service was attentive and adequate. The restaurant was not so busy in the early part of the evening. Not to complain, but the 20 percent living wage surcharge to the bill took the affordable label off this place and put it in the same league with other fancy restaurants in the area. May keep many from trying this new cuisine. It is a BYOB place, for those who would like to have an adult beverage to accompany your meal....
Really cute African restaurant in Bethlehem. Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy. Good items on the menu. I totally recommend the beef samosas, 1/4 chicken and chicken gizzards! The sadza and peanut sauce were not served hot, so that could be improved. Otherwise, totally worth checking out.
