Luckett's Hole In One - Lufkin

This is the first review I’ve ever written. When it comes to service, Lucky and the team truly set the gold standard. And the food? Even better. I can't wait to return and try the meat dishes. I was too preoccupied with the amazing appetizers and steaks. You really get what you pay for in this world, and Hole in One is the real deal.

This restaurant is quite impressive for Lufkin. It features lovely white tablecloths, a good selection of wine at reasonable prices, and an excellent side salad with an amazing house mustard dressing. Wes is a fantastic host—very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. The restaurant shares a building with the hotel, which is also decent. If you stay here, it’s just a short walk around the corner to the restaurant, making it convenient to return after your meal.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, which is part of the Quality Inn, and asked the front desk staff for a restaurant recommendation. She mentioned that the food at Hole In One is good, though a bit pricey, specifically noting that the Chicken Fried Steak is $28. This piqued my curiosity, and I knew I had to try it. I settled in at the bar, where the service was excellent. Upon trying the Chicken Fried Steak, I quickly realized this was not your grandmother's version. It featured a middle cut fillet that was pounded thin, battered, and fried to perfection. As someone who travels frequently, I always appreciate discovering hidden gems along the way. The Hole In One will definitely be my go-to restaurant whenever I’m in the Lufkin area. I highly recommend giving this place a shot—especially the Chicken Fried Steak.

Very good service, bar delicate new her stuff, made great old fashion, food was great. I recommend this little cafe when you're in Lufkin, TX.

I expected more, i was not impressed with the food. Steak was bland. Had very little taste. The sauce on the fish made it taste good. If it was not for that sauce it would be the same as the steak. Needed more help only 3 people in front and had a hard time keeping up with the demand of the customers.
