Church's Texas Chicken - Lumberton

I didn't try the chicken this time, but the new smokehouse looks fantastic. I'll definitely give it a shot next time!

I asked the price of a wing! $2.69 for one! when I saw the ding it was huge! many chicken on the wing! jalapeno bombers was great! no churches in jasper, texas? helpwheelchair accessible: drive through, no waiting in line!

The food was good, and the service was excellent. However, we had to wait at the window for 20 minutes while they baked cookies. Then, instead of the fried okra we ordered, we received pommes. As a result, we had to go back to the window and wait again until they could fix the order.

Great fried oko and the huh was also good, we had to wait a little while they cooked a new batch of cookies, but it was worth it.

Today, I tried the Original Smoke House meal. The mashed potatoes were fantastic, but unfortunately, the chicken was terrible. In previous visits to other locations, the chicken was rotisserie-style, but the one I received today had a baked texture with a greasy sauce. While it was moist, it lacked flavor. When I asked the cashier about the chicken's appearance and taste, she told me that's how they prepare it at this location. If you're a fan of Smoke House chicken, I would recommend avoiding this spot.
