Sisters - Lumby

I have been told to eat here many, many times. I have heard the food is great. I was told that Sisters makes the best burger around. Finally I had a chance to try it out. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. First of all - the coffee here is awful. I can't remember when I have had such uninspired, lousy coffee. When the food arrived - my Mom - who had a deluxe burger - said her burger was burned. I admit they were well-done but I don't mind that in a char-broiled burger. In all honesty,the burger was mediocre. Not terrible and certainly not great. It was served with krinkle cut fries which I thought were terrible. I ate my burger but left my fries virtually untouched. I can't recall leaving that much food behind on my plate at a restaurant. The prices here are fantastic but the food - not so much. I may try something else next time but for a first experience we left unsatisfied. My mother preferred the burger she had earlier at Red Robin in Vernon. I wouldn't go that far as it was definitely better than that but I hated my burger at Red Robin so that doesn't make for a great comparison.

Small plain little restaurant with parking lot right in front. Friendly staff and cook! Soups were good and coffee is great! Fairly large menu and prices seem reasonable. Would stop in again.

Very tasty menu, definitely NOT from a can Gravy, handmade hamburgers, "Mom cooked this" menu. Friendly home town atmosphere.

This is a bare bones restaurant that serves good food at a low price. For the price the portions cannot be beat. It's cash only, no wifi, and the food is not exotic, but it does not advertise such amenities. Plainly put if you want to fill your stomach and take some home without feeling guilty for breaking the bank, this is the place for you. Uncles breakfast is the only thing I order.

Love this restaurant. Good, cheap, comfort food, and they're always open. Even at 5am on a Sunday or Holiday!
