Dan's Steak House - Luray

We had a table of 8 and made reservations for 6pm. Our table was reserved and waiting for us! When we arrived they let us know that they only had one cook and one server and that it may be a bit of a wait. You never would have known! They were on it. Bread served immediately (ps: the cinnamon butter is to die for), drinks right after, and we received our salads no more than 5 minutes after completing our order. Our food arrived promptly after. We never felt we ever waited longer than the average. We felt it was actually pretty quick! The food was absolutely delicious. Sorry, no pictures, we dived right in. I got the 6oz sirloin, mashed potatoes and a garden salad. I loved every bite. The balsamic dressing was amazing. Excellent excellent excellent service!! Will definitely return the next time we visit Luray!! Kid-friendliness: The server was fantastic with our kids! They all enjoyed themselves.

I was disappointed. I ordered steak and it didn't have any taste to it.

Consider this a public service annoucement.Worst dining experience ever! The place was dark, dusty and floors were grimy The service was terrible !! The waitress acted as if she was on drugs She was very flightie We got our drink order and steamed shrimp and no cocktail sauce .We had to ask twice and coctail sauce was frozen Bread had to be ask twice as well After 50 minutes ,our steaks came out and mine was over cooked and and both were tough Sides were cold as well. A couple that came in with us did left because they were there 45 mins and never had anyone take there drink order Another table of six walked out as well. The owner was rude and condascending to us He could be heard cussing about us in the kitchen as we left. He took 20% off our check The worst 71 dollars I ever spent. Do yourself a favor don't go You will be disapointed!!

We had reservations and we was waiting fir 30min before anyone even cane to take our order so we left without ordered and while we were there people was having issues with their order so I would advise everyone to avoid this please it is a waste of time and the servers didn't even given a I am sorry or what can we do to they dodnt care. This is the first time I have ever had to walk out of a restaurant. Poor service.
