Uncle Bucks Family Restaurants - Luray

I had a late lunch and really enjoyed it! The food was excellent, the portion sizes were quite generous, and it offered great value for the price. I highly recommend the grilled chicken salad and the grilled ham and cheese toastie! Thank you once again!

Fantastic service and delicious food! We ordered Buckwheat Pancakes, Steak and Eggs, and Eggs Benedict, and they even accommodated my request by removing the Canadian bacon and adding lump crab and Old Bay seasoning! The homemade iced tea was delightful, and our server brought an extra pitcher and left it on the table for us. This spot perfectly met our expectations for a hometown breakfast. We will definitely return!

I’m not sure why there are so many negative comments. We ate here three times during our trip and had excellent food and service each time. The Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken were both outstanding. For breakfast, the Corned Beef Hash is fantastic, and the fried apples are also a highlight.

Family Food. After seeing all the bad reviews when we arrived in Luray for a weekend getaway, I was very reluctant when the hotel manager Uncle Bucks proposed as a great place to eat. But I'm glad to tell my husband that I ate dinner at Uncle Buck's and enjoyed our experience. We sat in the extra room with another couple for a big birthday party for an older man in the next room. It seemed to be a spirit of camaradery, and it is obviously Luray is a small city. The hostess was sweet and sat right away. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good. The food didn't blow me or changed my life, but it was much better than fast food and I also know that we gave our money to a local business. I think people complain about the service, and it was a little slow, but there was nothing like the other comments listed. We didn't have a 40-minute waiting time, I only noticed that it was a bit slower than what we used to, but we live in a big city. The slower pace could be due to the fact that this is not a chain restaurant and the food is actually prepared in the back and Luray is a small rural city. The overall pace in this city is not what you would find in a large metropolitan region. I think it's part of the charm! We thought it was relaxing and very pleasant.

Breakfast was great!. Visiting over the weekend and stopped for breakfast. It was so good that we went back the next day. Good meals and relaxing downhome atmosphere. Worth stopping for breakfast!
