Blue Willow Lounge - Macedonia

I wouldn't recommend this place if you're not a regular. I stopped by for the first time on a Friday evening because I heard they had a fish fry special. The beer arrived quickly and was reasonably priced, which was a plus. However, I sat there for 25 minutes enjoying my drink without the bartender acknowledging me again. There was no offer of a menu or any inquiry about whether I wanted to order food. Meanwhile, the regulars were served promptly and received plenty of attention. I gave it 3 stars because the staff was friendly when they did notice me, and the draft beer was a great price. I'm not sure if I'll return, but I'll update my review if my next visit is better.

Dave even threatened to press charges against me, despite the fact that I have never been aggressive or violent towards him. It seems his actions were unjustified, possibly motivated by my skin color. After this incident, I felt the need to consult with the Macedonia police to understand if his actions constituted harassment, and they confirmed that I was allowed to leave a review. It's unfortunate that I had to involve the police just to share my feelings about this restaurant, especially since he reported me first, claiming I was harassing him. I’ve since been banned from the premises for quitting, after he tried to cut my hours without any notice. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I’m giving this restaurant a one-star rating, which is the minimum. If I could rate it lower, I would. I appreciate the Macedonia police for allowing me to express my concerns. Thank you, and I hope everyone else has a better day.

This place feels like a true dive bar, with strong drinks and friendly service. It’s not too crowded around midnight, which is a plus. The music selection is quite eclectic, but overall, I had a great time. I’d rate the service a 4 and the atmosphere a 3.

I have to say, this is definitely my favorite local spot. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the people here. You always encounter someone new, and it's such a great time to hang out!
