They have a great beer selection and their prices are very reasonable. Bierocks are delicious and you can’t get them anywhere else in Madison as far as I know. Sides are good. They have a lot of events here too but I’ve never been able to go to them. They have board games too to play. Good place to meet someone to talk over food and drink.
After landing at the airport, we were looking for a place to eat, and this restaurant was a great find! It's close by and absolutely delicious! I remember my mom making bierocks when I was growing up, and it's been a while since I've made them myself. Don’t be put off by the sauerkraut in the classic version; it's quite subtle. The potato salad and kettle chips were excellent, and they had a solid selection of beers. Overall, it was a wonderful discovery, and Crystal provided really great service!
**Vegetarian options:** Most appetizers, some bierocks (clearly marked), and the dessert selections are great (I highly recommend trying them!). **Parking:** Occasionally, finding a parking spot can be challenging, particularly when there are events at Mallard's, but there’s usually always a place to park. **Dietary restrictions:** Bierock offers a gluten-sensitive crust option that is both crispy and tasty. However, note that it’s not a gluten-free kitchen, so if you have a severe allergy or sensitivity to trace amounts, it may not be the safest choice. They also have excellent vegetarian options available.
I needed a meal before the Mallards game, and this place was an excellent choice. The pasties were delicious, and the drinks were generous. Our waitress was friendly and engaging.
