Menu reads really nice, the dishes put on the table to share were good but I didn't enjoy my chicken and waffle dish, thought the chicken was rubbery and the waffle was slightly burnt. At least the desserts and wine made up for the disappointment. But it is very reasonably priced. Lovely setting and views and all staff were great. The terrace isn't overly big and there is inside seating where we probably should have sat as it was very hot. But there is plenty of large canapies and a constant spray of mist to try and keep you cool. After brunch we headed back to the ground floor bar for drinks in the air conditioning as it was getting far too hot. Again staff very good and the bar area is very relaxed. Nice area to cool down and recharge.
This place did not give it actually took. As a hotel restaurant, most everyone is there to visit Madrid, not to wait hours and have to ask for service repeatedly, at time 3 it was time to give up the ghost. Plz choose somewhere else this is not a convenient place to eat/drink
Drinks and view are very nice. Service depends on who is attending you a couple of them are really great specially when telling them you are staying in the hotel. One guy not so interested on offering a place a the terrace even asked for and having ta les there…. Very good Aperol Spritz. Nice to see the sunset. Very convenient location in front of Atocha Train Station. If you are staying in the hotel or nearby it is good only if you can find a spot at the terrace due to the views.
Decidimos comer en el último instante porque mi amiga iba a tomar el tren a las 14:00 y habíamos quedado en tomarnos un vermú en la cafetería del hotel. El mismo camarero de la cafetería nos confirmó la posibilidad de subir a comer a las 13:00. Se ubica en el séptimo piso con unas vistas impresionantes de la ciudad, en verano se puede comer al aire libre, pero en invierno se come en el interior. Pedimos unas copas de vino tinto Muga, denominación de origen Rioja y nos pusieron como aperitivo unas aceitunas y un alioli muy cremoso con variedad de panes. Como primero pedimos una ensalada de burrata con canónigos, de segundo ella pidió un pescado y yo un delicioso plato vegano de puerros confitados. Como postre tomé un tatín de manzana con mascarpone. Precios asequibles y trata muy agradable.
Comimos de raciones para compartir y nos trajeron todo a la vez. Nos quejamos y se llevaron la carne, que era el segundo plato. Luego cuando la trajeron estaba fría y les dijimos que nos la calentaran. Al principio al empezar a comer nos trajeron la comida y no nos habían traído el vino. En resumen un poco desastre para el nivel que se supone que tiene el restaurante, para compensar nos invitaron a los postres, que eran minúsculos en unos grandes platos, como esta de moda ahora en ciertos locales.
