Citadelle - Mainz

We have celebrated a family festival with around 20 people and were enthusiastic. the food was presented as discussed and the quality was good. the really unique location, (including great photo motifs) so our celebration was a full success. we like to come back.

We have reserved for 9 people and were able to sit outside at the great weather.The food was varied, from fresh little croissants, rolls, bread...Marma, sausage, cheese and salmon.Rührei with super chess fried bacon and spices. from half twelve also hot food and dessert. I can't do it all! There were secco or O juice for greeting. Coffee and tee were sufficient. the personal super nice and accommodating. I'm thrilled at a super price ratio! ! always happy again.

The bistro is located between amtshäusern on the citadellenberg in mainz. the parking spaces up there cost 1€ for 30 min. and the maximum parking time is 1 hour.The ambiente is beautiful. Unfortunately, the waiters are all a bit difficult to understand and not necessarily accommodating. the "Palestinian tapas" are unfortunately disappointing. the saumagen on stomp potatoes is good but naturally in tapas form very small. the hand cheese is watery and does not taste at all. one of the tapas is simply a small meatwurstkringel on a small dish with two bags. that's a little ridiculous. In total, you have to order a lot and then land in an area that is no longer in a good relation to quality. Coffee and cakes are really top and inexpensively appropriate.My conclusion is: only suitable as a "coffee and cake" excursion destination, you should find another restaurant for the right meal.

High above mainz in the former fortification, the restaurant citadelle invites you to take a home. next to the card there are actions on certain days (e.g. Spanish tapas on Saturday) or times (brunch on the weekend, homemade cakes on the afternoon.) and all this in unexcited perfection!

We were at the breakfast in cafe on the citadel. Saturdays and Sundays only a brunch is offered. we've been there 10.15 h. At first we thought that the offer for eur 14,90 is a little leaner, but then the warm foods were raised and we changed our mind very quickly. friendly and attentive staff. it is advisable to get to the brunch as soon as possible at 11.00h, that one can still hunger directly at the great variety. resevung is advisable. in the summer you can sit out nicely, then it makes even more fun!
