Irish Pub - Mainz

Irish Pub quite near the Eisgrub. Lots of live music. Place to go if you just want to stumble in, have some drinks, enjoy some live gigs or Karaoke. all with no cover charge. Usually lots of college students here but all ages welcome. Gets quite crowded depending on what kind of band is playing. Usually a good time to be had here.

A fan is an understatement.. I lived in Germany for a year and have always been a sucker for Irish accents. Having lived in a smaller country town 20 min outside of Mainz where very little English was spoken this place was always a god sent to visit just to even talk to the bar staff alone. The German/Irishness of it was a weird combination however I still enjoyed the atmosphere which was quaint in size and not a sterotypical irish chain such as O'Neills. The food was pub style/german pub style with schnitzels and all but went down well.
