This hidden gem is worth the visit. Something distinct about a place that is true to its cultural ties. My husband and I are from South Florida, so we are picky about our Caribbean food, and moving to mass has dwindled our selection due to unavailability. We started with their Akra and Bannan, and both were very flavorful just wished the Bannan was a bit crisper. The fried goat and fried chicken meals were a chef’s kiss! The goat was incredibly tender and well-seasoned, and the same goes for the chicken. The diri kole and the djon djon were delicious as well. The drinks were made with fresh juice and made the experience memorable! My husband and I will be back regularly since this is the only place that gives us a piece of home.
I’ve traveled to Jamaica and I’ve tasted the best j ever! This doesn’t even come close. Food was low grade mediocre at best. Chicken tasted left over with too much sauce and onions. Definitely not Jamaican J Chicken. Black rice was stale and flavorless. Couldn’t eat the meal only but a couple of bites. Only thing that was fresh was plantains. The $22 conch salad (or whatever that was)was drenched in oil and had enough onions to make 20 people’s eyes water. Very disappointed. Maybe take out and dining in experience is different but my food was horrendous!! Go to Lynn or Boston to get authentic J chicken flavor. And to the mgr:” I see all of your responses to other patrons reviews and you don’t take responsibility for your terrible food”. Get a better cook or go into a different line of business.
This place has been my go to place for special occasions or just a good night out for a year now. The food is always hot fresh and the atmosphere is always top tier and menu has so many delicious options.Parking: Good street parking
This was the best experience I’ve had. The best service ever. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and attended to. The most authentic Haitian food in MA. I’m Haitian and the food was identical to my grandmothers cooking. I can tell the spices used are authentic. I had the red snapper, sospwa, macaroni and drinks. I was so full I could not finish because the portion was grand. I am very huge on quality experiences and the atmosphere, music and service made this one of the best experiences I’ve had dining out In Massachusetts. 10/10 would recommend. I even met the owner, she came to check on my table. Also, the drinks are top tier, the bartender Jerry knows his stuff!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options. The hummus and akra is my fave!Kid-friendliness: It is a family oriented restaurantParking: There is street metered parkingWheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp inside to bring you to the bathrooms
