Very homely diner with a calm atmosphere. We stopped by while passing through and I’m glad we did.Ordered a coffee, German Chocolate frappe, grilled cheese on rye and a pbj. Plus a few jars of pickled thingsEverything was so fresh and wonderful.Loved it!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Extremely friendly owner. Great beignets and quiche. Scrambled eggs were very fluffy as advertised. Really enjoyed our visit! Highly recommend. We will definitely return.
Such an amazing start to the day. Delicious beignets. The best coffee outside my own kitchen. The small comfortable store and restaurant were a perfect place to eat and meet locals and the chef. You need to know this place.
After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we thought we would try Penny Loafers Cafe. Sometimes when you read reviews, you wonder. Well, the only wonder we have is when can we plan a trip back to Mammoth Springs to eat at Penny Loafers Cafe again. We had the Reuben Sandwich and onion rings. The menu said it was the world's best Reuben. After eating the sandwich, we all agreed. The sandwich was delicious. Perfect. And the story behind their corn beef was interesting. Penny was so sweet. I had to hug her when I left. I felt like we were meant to stop at this restaurant and have the opportunity to meet and talk with someone like Penny. And have the Rueben sandwich! The onion rings were very good. My husband had the brownie. She told us customers do not want her to run out of her homemade brownies. She only had 1 left. My husband said I will take it. He said it was delicious. The sign said open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 2:00. So if you go to Mammoth Springs on Tuesday to Friday, you need to stop at Penny Loafers. The place itself is also interesting with many unique items.
