Al Waalis - Manchester

They let the staff's child run around eating straight out of the buffet. Sometimes even putting half eaten food back. This child then tried to drink from my glass whilst I was getting food. We complained several times but they said it was the child of a friend and he was unwell so they didn't want to upset the child. I don't think this is a good enough excuse. We then saw another customer's children helping themselves with their bare hands. The waiting staff were watching but again didn't get involved. If this is what they allow in public god knows what they do in the kitchen. We will not be returning.

AVOID. Got Diarrhoea and sickness after eating here. We had buffet food on 26 June 2022. Food tasted old like it had been kept for ages. Hardly any variety on offer. Expensive for the poor quality of food, cost almost £20 a head. There was hardly any other customers which in hindsight should not have gone there, good restaurants are always busy, this isn't one of them. Better to eat elsewhere as lots of better places to go.

We've been at the restaurant on Friday night. There was a very nice chilled music in the background; The food choice was very wide. Everything well displayed and kept warm. All the food was delicious, expecially the chicken karahi, fish pakora and mango lassi ! :P The staff has been very welcoming and smiley. Absolutely recommended for a chilled, rich and tasty dinner. We'll be definitely coming back.

I have been going to Al-Waalis for many years, since the time I was allowed to eat for free as a child and now I go as a married woman : . I have literally grown up going to eat there at least once a month with family. My husband had never been and I took him for the first time and just like me, he loves it! Much better than nawaab and other buffet places that rip you off and leave you feeling sickly in the end. Also, they make the BEST chicken corn soup, I mean the BEST! : much love to you guys

We organised a wedding there . Paid the advance but on the day their idiot un professional owner asked for the remainder balance before serving the food which was embarrassing in front of all the guests. They never said the balance needs to be paid before this. We always paid balance at the end at other venues. Food quality was not even good and thats one of the reason they ask for balance payment first. Would not recommend to anyone ever. And would also report to the relevant authorities.
