First-class fishing and chips. rugged cod and squid. both very well cooked, crunchy and not greasy. tartare sauce a bonus. chips also first rate. staff exceptionally friendly and polite.

Best fish and chips ever! Really good fish coating and fresh fish, chips fried to perfection, very tasty gravy and free tartar sauce (at least when ordering online). The packaging is fabulous paper only but not excessive and really sturdy cardboard box. Keep up the good work!

The good catch in alty or this place? This place! I used to go to the good catch but quality is just dropping of a cliff. This place is a tad more expensive but the quality is 100% better. I can't speak for everything they make as I've only had cod, peas n chips there but I'm sure the rest is good too.

Best fish and chips in the area; a tad more costly than others but more than worth it for the quality.

The fish and chips at Hale Barns are definitely worth the price and a visit. I've gone there four times recently since I traveled in the area, and each time the fish (and chips) has been of great quality. Additionally, Andrew and his staff are very friendly and engaging.
