The woman working there was fantastic, as she prepared a couple of bagels with scrambled tofu for us, and they were delicious. We will definitely be coming back for breakfast in the future.
The vegan café located on the Mandurah waterfront is fantastic, with plenty of outdoor seating covered with shade. They offer a wonderful variety of vegan dishes that are not commonly found elsewhere. The service is speedy and friendly. This place has become one of our top choices for a meal stop on our way back to Perth from a holiday in the southwest.
I have dined at this restaurant a few times and while the food is nice, I feel like I could easily replicate it at home. However, it is great to see a fully gluten-free and vegan establishment in Mandurah. On my most recent visit, I tried the 'smoked salmon on rosti.' Despite the dish's name suggesting the smoked salmon would be the star, it tasted more like salty carrots. I have successfully made vegan 'smoked salmon' using lemon juice, olive oil, capers, liquid smoke, nori, and dill in the past. The vegan egg was enjoyable, but lacking in flavor and the rosti was tasty but overly salted. It was served on a bed of spinach, red onion, and cherry tomatoes. While I appreciate the creativity of this dish, I would not order it again.
Enough vegan options. I recommend the vegan brekkie. Very tastfull. The Sheppardless pie and vegan roll are also very good. Very nice people.
This place has great vegan options, and gluten free. A half serve is still huge, and the staff are friendly and efficient.
