Our waitress, Dawn was very attentive and one of the nicest waitresses. Food was wonderful. Had the soup and salad bar with our meal. Haven't seen this offer in a long time. Great find on the way to Kitch-iti-kipi! Local no-frills place with solid food service. Lots of people eating there in their work clothing, and probably a few hunter/fishermen. We checked the great reviews then stopped in after a harrowing 2+ hour drive along Lake Michigan through heavy rain fog. They were just setting up for lunch. My husband got a terrific breakfast, and even though they had a lot of wonderful looking menu items, I couldn't stop myself from getting yet another pasty! (I'm a fan! . The pasty was wonderful, the crust was tender and flaky, and the gravy was very good. Ketchup was on the table, so I could alternate bites with it and the gravy. Sooo gooood! The salad bar was super fresh and had a lot of great choices, including pasta salads and soups. The taco pasta salad was surprisingly good. The servers were all so sweet, friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean and well stocked; you had to walk past the kitchen to get to them the kitchen looked very clean. We will definitely stop in again when in the area.
