El Maguey Mexican - Mar del plata

Whats with all the bland Mexican food in this city? Got enchiladas with rice. There was no sauce on the inside of them at all. Just shredded chicken. The rice had no flavor to it. Very boring food. Mexican food is supposed to have spice. An onion a pepper, something would be better than nothing.

Ordered DoorDash and received no chips/salsa. I guess they make you pay for that as an appetizer now. Only Mexican place I’ve ever bought or heard of not including it with the meal. Also, my enchilada had weird sauce on it. It was super sugary with unknown chunky substance in it.

Food is always good. The servers always seat you, take your order, serve your food, and then never come back. I come twice a week and I’m done after today. The last two times I’ve waited 20-30 minutes to see my server again to ask for a box. I’m usually in and out. Tip $8-10 for just me!! I’ve served so I’m the easiest to wait on but seriously … they just disappear.

Doordash orders are usually ready for pickup when I arrive.

Here is the deal! The food was outstanding. The atmosphere fit the type of food that they were serving. My wife's dress was courteous and friendly.
