This location had a pet turtle, arcade, and 3 pools. The water slide is only open when lifeguard is on duty. 1 employee said 9 am, and the other said 10 am. At another smaller bar, we were told open the bar tender said closed at 6 pm. The main bar is open later. Take a cover-up with you if you go to the pool later in the day since there is no service in the front bar in a swimsuit. The rooms are amazing with a small fridge, espresso machine, plenty of shampoo and conditioner for long hair. Shower, bathroom was amazing with spectacular views! Oddly the bathroom had no fan. Room.service food was better to me than 1 of the main restaurants. Downstairs for eating needed a reservation, that was easy to make. Carrots were not cooked all the way. Food was not hot, needed to eat my lobster fast for the sauce not warm and a bit chewy. Loved all the spices and spreads for the amazing bread! They have 19 pages of spirits! Great, fabulous choices!! Extremely polite staff. The trio sorbet was amazing. The falvors tasted as if they had pieces of real fruit pureed into them all. Will definitely visit again. Everyone should try it!
Oh boy, let me tell you about my wild adventure with Raelene at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain. I walked a gazillion properties in just FOUR days to find the perfect spot for my daughter's pre-wedding shenanigans. Little did I know, I was signing up for insanity, walking 16 properties in such a short time! She getting married at Stillwell House downtown so distance is an issue. But then, I stumbled upon Raelene. I didn't even have an appointment, but she graciously gave me her undivided attention. We started on a grand tour of six rooms, and let me tell you, she walked me around that property like a champ, sharing stories along the way. Talk about attention to detail, this woman is on a whole new level! Now, here's the funny part. Even though this place is far from the actual wedding venue and completely blows my budget out of the water, As a single parent my resources are limited. On the way back to the lobby she handed me a little parting gift a bag with Bride Groom Wedding duckies! I GASPED. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD. CONTRACT PLEASE !!!!!! SHE HAD ME AT THE DUCKIES! TAKE MY MONEY LOL..... I've decided to book it! Why, you ask? Well, it's all because of the amazingness that is Raelene. She made it work for my daughter, and THE DUCK WAS FINAL I just couldn't resist LOL. Let me tell you, if you're looking for a serene and peaceful place without an influx of kids screaming and running around, The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain is the place to be. It's not only one of the prettiest locations in the Tuscan area, but Raelene's magic touch sealed the deal for me. So, if you're up for an adventure, and don't mind splurging a little (or a lot), make sure to reach out to Raelene at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain. Trust me, she'll make your experience hilariously amazing and leave you booking places you never thought you could afford! ill find a way! I can't wait to see you again. Bella Allexxis Allen
We had a mostly pleasant 3 nights stay at Dove Mountain during the Easter week. The resort is somewhat remotely located, there’s not many restaurants/business around the resort. So it's extra quiet and secluded. Due to the nature of Easter week, there are a lot of families with children at the property. On one of the day, they has an Easter display with many cookie and sweets. The property itself is well designed, and quiet in generally. The staffs to guests ratio is somewhat low. The room is well appointed and spacious. We can see the ridge as well as Tucson in a distance. The main attraction to the property is the hiking trails available around, and the countless saguaro cactus around the surrouding area. There are also a good amount of wild life around the property. We saw bob cat, gila lizard on the hotel ground. There is a ranger station where the rangers provide informative wild life information as well as a collection of reptilarium. As a wild life park, it is very well run. The dining options is limited and pricy for what you get. Core is the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There's also a pool side restaurant for casual lunch and drink with limited hours (and closed during week days). So we drive into Tucson for meals frequently, which is 40 mins each way. There is also a small onsite deli/cafe for take away. Service at Core was somewhat slow, and there are stains at on the glass, stains on the door. Food was decent however. The room is well design and furnished. The bathroom is generous size with very deep and comfortable tub. There's private screen right at the entrance which is thoughtful. The nightly turn down service is a nice touch. Overall house keeping does a decent job, though we did noticed cob web and dust around the AC vent high up. Which is probably not reachable by the house keeping staffs. There are two pool areas, one suppose be for adults and another for kids. But on the Easter weekend, the adult pool was filled with kids making splashes as well. If you are looking for quiet pool time, this may not be the right property for you. We rented a Tesla, and the last night we ask the valet to make sure it's full charged. The next day after we checked out, the car has less charge than we brought in the night before. My travel companion forgot his luggage, the resort was able to locate it and mail it back to him, which is a nice gesture. Overall, the stay was decent. The hard product is well executed, the soft product (service, food) still left much to be desire. Maybe they are still recovering from covid staffs shortage, hopefully it will improve.
I am so glad I stayed at the Ritz Carlton. This was my first time at a Ritz, and it will certainly not be my last. The resort was very clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. My suite was spacious with a great view, and the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows to make my sleep relaxed. In the suite, you had a choice of a shower and a very large tub that could be used as your own personal spa. The pools were large with plenty of space to swim. I was staying in Marana to visit my brother because he had a stroke a while back. When I provided the Turn Down Staff with this information, they were extraordinarily compassionate. The next evening, there was a signed get well card for my brother from all of the staff. There was a a gift bag with two treats for my brother and a handmade book mark for me. What other resort would show such kindness at a difficult time for me! I highly recommend this amazing resort to anyone visiting Arizona.
My husband and I have been trying to go to the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain Spa since before covid. For some reason something always comes up but for this weekend we were finally able to go! I have worked in the spa and Skin Care industry for over 20 years. I've had hundreds of facials in the US and abroad. This by far was the absolute most amazing facial I have ever had! The spa is beautiful and tranquil. It has its own pool for spa goers as well as a workout room. My favorite part is the women's locker room and outdoor treatment area. Women and men have a private hot tub that is outside by a fireplace. There is also a steam room with cold rolled towels and a dry sauna. We ordered some of the best pina coladas by the pool. My husband said his massage was out of this world as well. If you go to one Spa in the United States Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain is definitely the place to go! You'll be so happy you did!
