Irie Island Eats - Marathon

Atmosphere is a unique experience. Food is super special and quite amazing. Didn’t had that kinda lunch for long time. Definitely a must see in the Key‘s. Vegetarian friendly as well.

This place had good food. There portions are large. I enjoyed the ambience. My son enjoyed playing in the garden while we waited for our food. Their fresh pineapple juice was delicious. I think their service process needs to improve because I had to go up and pay about 3 times for each thing instead of at the end. Also, everything was given to me in a to go container instead of in a plate with real silverware which would have made the dining experience better.

The previous reviews say it all ... make this part of your Marathon experience! Our plans were to drive from Key West to Marathon for two reasons: 1 The Turtle Hospital, and 2 Irie Island Eats. The only reason I am sharing a review is to attach a photo from the parking lot. We knew the location and still drove past it and had to turn around! As previous reviews have stated the food is great. The atmosphere is a bonus even if they are currently experiencing record heat indexes, they HAVE fans :

Amazing!!!!Island bbq style food.. so good!We had several different menu items and they were all delicious! You can’t go wrong with any of them! Coconut rice, Havana Beef.. they even have a smoker on site! So good, highly recommend!Parking: Lots of parking spots directly in front of Irie.. the sign for the restaurant is hard to see. There is a large grass roof where the entrance is.

Hands down one of the best spots in the keys for a unique island bbq joint. I highly recommend the island style vegetables and pork bowl. It's a delicious blend of sweet with spice. The place is all outside seating, but with shade and fans. Great job!
