It is slightly hidden on the Main Street of town and a small shop filled with an assortment of all sorts. We saw cheeses, olives, etc. we chose from the freezer a blue cheese and roasted pear pasta but there were other choices both fresh and frozen like curries and other pasta types. But it was far from cheap, but when you consider the cost of eating out it was reasonable I guess. A small single serve takeaway container of meatless pasta cost $15.95. It was a nice meal though, and we both enjoyed the flavours. A great option if you want a home cooked meal but not cook whilst on holiday.
We visited The Larder twice on our recent trip to Margaret River. Each time we went, with our three young children in tow, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The first time we visited we could smell the amazing food being cooked in the kitchen. We ended up taking home the spinach dahl and rice and a chicken lasagne. Both the meals tasted great and it was nice to have a homely meal without needing to cook. The meals were reasonably priced and fed my family of four, although the kids didn't eat the dahl.
We bought hearty soup, bread and spaghetti bolognese which sustained us for a few nights in Margaret River.
Stopped to pick up some nibbles to celebrate my birthday. The local gourmet produce included Brie, Italian sausage and a capsicum dip. All were thoroughly enjoyed and we would definitely recommend The Larder for anyone who wants to experience gourmet local produce and enjoys fine food.
Lovely range of artisan products, showcasing local talent. All meals are made onsite and vegetarians/vegans are catered for. All the products we bought were delicious and enhanced our wonderful stay in the Margaret River region. Warm, friendly service.
