Írjon visszajelzéstNo So JerkedThis eatery is an occasional go to as the food has an old time Jamaican taste to it and friendly atmosphere. ??Last evening I decided to try the j chicken and pork only to buy left disappointed. It was very spicy and salty. My children played with the chicken and left it. I tried the pork but could not finish it as it was high in sodium and pepper but not having that jerky flavor with the right amount of heat.As a Caribbean culture we should try to use less salt in our foods as it's not healthy to consume too much. The above pictures were taken this morning as I'm about to discard the food. ?Buyer beware Try before you buy.The one star ? is for the food only.
This is the slowest Caribbean place around. The wait time is too long. No sense of urgency or customer service. If you have an hour for lunch and just want to run in and get a lunch to go, FORGET IT. I had to wait 15 minutes before I was able to place my order and there was no one in line to order. Only one young lady was working the register and finishing up two orders for two people who ordered before I came in. There was a second older lady just walking around, talking to the people in the back and rearranging food trays up front. Meanwhile people are coming in and forming a line behind me. Not sure why she couldn't make herself useful and tend to the people in line and deal with the trays afterwards. Eventually the other young lady came and took the order and I was able to finish up and get out of there. This restaurant needs to figure out how to serve their food at a faster pace and be more respectful of people's time.
I 've come here a few times because it 's convenient as it sits directly on 441. If you 're looking for a friendly smile, this is not the place. Today took the cake though, as the cashier was rude to the patron in front of me. He ordered ox tail and his cost came to $14.43. He gave the cashier $20.03. The cashier told him that she cannot ring it up with the $20 bill and just three pennies .... The patron said yes you can, and they went back-and-forth for a few seconds until he told her to just give him the three pennies back. I 'm not sure if the lady understands that you can indeed ring up the change without having the entire amount of the change. Someone should school her on counting money. She even called him crazy when he left. Just rude. The food is nothing out of this world and the portions they give are subpar. The brown stew chicken that I ordered is tough. With this being the case, you would think you to get more pleasantry and at least a cashier that knows how to count money. I don 't think I 'll ever be back here.
Always amazing food. A gem treat during lunch time, take-outRecommend taking cash.
Always delicious food! The location is not the most convenient but it’s well worth it.
