Beach Buoys - Margate

It seemed to have minimal efforts in the banan blossom f*sh. there were missing some crumbled, spiced and nori and tasted quite sour. Unfortunately, there are only 2 stars, as there are some improvements in comparison to banana blossoms f*sh and traditional coastal chips that we had before. but the staff was friendly, and it is a great location with fabulous seating outside with a beautiful view.

Just ordered from Beach Buoys and received very generous servings of chips, banana blossom and pickles. We even got some vegan tartare sauce! Tasty, lots of flavour and great customer service!

So good to have vegan fish and chips right on the sea front! You get LOADS of fried pickles and a decent amount of fried banana blossom too. Personally I preferred the skinny fries to the classic chip shop chips

Best vegan fish chips I’ve ever had! The fish is made using banana blossom and has such a similar taste and texture to regular battered cod you’d get at a fish and chip shop. The batter is amazing and all vegan items (including chips) are fried in a completely separate fryer! The portions are really generous so great value for money. I also ordered batter bits which are free of charge and came in a huge box.

I visited Beach Buoys in Margate with my dad, who is vegetarian but used to enjoy fish and chips. We decided to try their vegan options for lunch. I opted for the chicken burger with vegan mozzarella, onion rings, kale slaw, gochujang ketchup, and fried pickles since I don't like fish. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the burger as it was greasy and fell apart easily. The lack of ketchup didn't help cut through the grease either. The others in my group also weren't impressed with their banana blossom fish or battered vegan sausage. The fried pickles were the only highlight. While the restaurant has a cute pink storefront by the sea, the prices are high and the food quality doesn't justify the cost. It may be better suited for fish and chips enthusiasts, but the service was also lacking during our visit.
