Tørvis Hotell - Marifjoera

Tørvis is a beautiful hotel that is currently undergoing a transformation, from the restaurant to guest activities. The breakfast was delicious and abundant, with a wide variety of options. The rooms were clean, although they seemed a bit empty and could benefit from having a hairdryer and soap in the shower. The dinner was outstanding and solidifies this hotel as a must-visit culinary destination. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to please. I was charmed by the history of the hotel that was shared with me while waiting for my family in the reception area. The grounds are breathtaking and small details like complimentary coffee in the lobby added to the overall experience. I am looking forward to returning to Tørvis in the future.

This restaurant is top-notch. It caters to the elegant outdoors enthusiast who desires breathtaking fjord views without compromising on superior hospitality, unique architecture, delectable cuisine, and decor that complements it all perfectly. My significant other and I recently stayed here for a wedding weekend and were impressed by the lavish reception and morning buffet. The clean and cozy rooms provided a restful night's sleep, and we adored the balcony view.

Hotel is closed but this has not been communicated to anyone. They are still taking bookings.

Fantastic place! Stayed here in connection with a work trip. Norway's second oldest hotel, I learned. The hotel is like a fairy tale/museum from a bygone era, with exciting exhibitions of paintings and old things. There's even a bear at reception! At the same time, the rooms are top-of-the-line. Bed, pillow/duvet were very comfortable, marble bathroom. Everything seemed well maintained. Very pleasant and attentive service. Best hotel breakfast I've had. Can mention choice between 3 types of cooked eggs, salmon spread, and brie cheese as my favourites, which I have not seen anywhere else. Great dining room, where they also had a larger room next to the breakfast room with old-style chandeliers. We worked at night, and came back at 04. Please note that the hotel locks the doors at night, and that the room key does not fit the lock. We found an open entrance in the basement via the recreation room, which led us back into the hotel.
