When I arrived in Marion on Tuesday, I visited the shop to discuss how I wanted the lettering positioned on the cake, since I planned to place the fresh flowers on it when I picked it up on Thursday. However, when I arrived to collect the cake on Thursday, I was pleased with its presentation but surprised to see the writing was in black. I realized I should have specified the color, as I never imagined black would be chosen for a woman’s cake. Despite that, I made the best of it and added my fresh flowers. As for the cake itself, it was extremely dry and not moist at all. There was barely any strawberries or frosting between the layers, so when we sliced it, the layers fell apart. My mother mentioned she didn’t see any strawberries, while I noticed only a few scattered throughout. The next day, I texted Renee to share my feedback. I offered constructive criticism on the cake's quality and hoped she wouldn’t take it as an insult to her bakers, but rather as an opportunity for improvement. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any response from her. Interestingly, while at the Dripolator coffee shop in Black Mountain yesterday, a barista shared her own experience with Chance of Sprinkles, mentioning her cake was also extremely dry. I genuinely hope the owner takes this review as constructive feedback and considers adjusting her cake recipes. It’s important for businesses to communicate with customers, regardless of the feedback received, as it can foster growth and improvement.

I'm really glad our town has a place like this for desserts. I'm a fan of tiramisu, so I decided to give it a try here. However, they were out of it at the front, and then I noticed them bringing a wrapped box out. This led me to believe that they might buy it pre-made, which was quite disappointing since I expected everything to be made in-house. I really hope that’s not the case.

Unfortunately, I don’t have very many positive things to say about this bakery. The cookies are the best things they offer (but you can tell they come frozen and aren’t baked fresh). Most everything taste premade which is unfortunate because they insist on the freshness of their products. Everything is overly sweet, with unnecessary sugar added to everything.The lattes are okay- but again, overly sweet. The customer service from the staff is really amazing. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the friendliness of the owner and would have to agree- it’s eh.

Went for ice cream but got oh so much more. Loved the cozy atmosphere for catching up with folks.
