We had a late dinner here last night and were very pleasant by the owner/cook and staff. we ordered tomato soup and shinitzel. the tomato soup was very well flavored, we got 2 carvings each, boiled for perfection. they served a lot of pommes and salad with it. a very nice meal in a very nice environment. we would definitely go back.
This place has been a solid restaurant since my childhood, and rudi oexle is not only a big cook, but also a warm, friendly man. I usually order flaedlesuppet, followed by a delicious wobble pink roast, with a glass light bottom white wine. everything. is regional, and the portions are solid. they'll pack you a goodie bag with your left if you want. they also look at the local spirits, who serve them. delicious pear snaps and even bottom sea gin. I heard that rudi wants to close the restaurant because he is no longer the youngest. it will be hard, but until then I will push everyone to eat there!
Eating the legendary chef rudi öxle with experience and know-how of over 40 years in the kitchen is incomparable! the kitchen is simple, traditional, tasty dishes south of Germany after the season, ingredients come from the area....Great portions, with refilling of beside dishes and sauces, without asking. large lists of local weeping and spiritual, aperitifs and desserts. the service is fast, courtesy and attentive, no matter how full the restaurant and the chef always round to take care of the guests personally! I can only recommend this!
Try the Bodensea trout. Out of this world. Very warm and friendly. I stop by every time I am in the area for the local trout.
