Mim's Kitchen - Marlinton

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and accidentally discovered this charming local restaurant! We stopped in for lunch before heading out for some fly fishing. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was adorable with a chic cabin vibe, and the service was incredibly friendly! I was impressed to see that patrons were wearing masks and practicing social distancing while waiting in line. I ordered the roast beef, and my husband opted for the country ham. As a Southerner, I know my roast beef, having grown up enjoying it every Sunday. Trust me when I say that Mim's roast beef tasted just like my dad's. The country ham was equally delicious! I highly recommend this place.

Mim’s offers an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant is immaculate and elegantly decorated, and the food is absolutely delicious. Additionally, Mim and her grandson are incredibly warm and welcoming. Although West Virginia is my home, I have traveled to seven other countries and dined in many establishments, yet Mim’s remains one of my absolute favorites. If you find yourself in the Marlinton area, do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal and dessert at Mim’s—you won’t regret it!

Hands down, the best meal I've had! Best off the beaten path diner! Well.worth the 4 hr. Drive to get there from Charleston W.V. operated and run by a wife,husband son. Everything is home cooked from scratch! The atmosphere,decor was all designed and built by the family...simply adoring! Once you go there you'll be hooked!

Stopped by and had a great meal after a long day of hiking. I had baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cucumber and tomato dill salad, a roll with butter and cheese, and turtle cheesecake that filled me up good.
