The small storefront may be modest, but it hides a wealth of traditional flavors inside. We were warmly welcomed by friendly staff who helped us through our first experience with pasties. The traditional pasty with gravy was absolutely perfect. If you're traveling with a child like we were, the pizza sub was also a huge hit. The people here are incredibly kind, and the food is delicious!

I finally understand the excitement surrounding pasties from Upper Michigan. They are made fresh every day, and you can definitely taste the difference. The crust is fantastic, and the filling consists of steak (not a burger) along with cubed potatoes and rutabaga. We both ordered the meal that came with coleslaw and a drink. You can really tell that the owner enjoys interacting with customers and providing great service. The restaurant has three tables indoors and a lovely patio outside. It's no surprise that it's rated #1!
