Rocky’s Jamaica Sunrise - Maryville

Went to Rocky?s and tried the curry chicken dish $12) and the curry goat dish $17). We were disappointed at how flavorless the meal was in general. When you go to a Jamaican restaurant you?d expect to be wowed by the food. We left with some cabbage andpork I bought trying to recover the experience. When we got back to the hotel, we realized the flavor in the cabbage is what wasmissing for the curry dishes. Maybe if they mixed that cabbage or at the very least that flavor into the meal it would have beenworth what I paid. Also-the jerk sauce was more like mole sauce without the sweetness and zero spice. Is that normal?

I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The portion size was generous for the price and the overall experience was pleasant. Lately, I have been let down by the value offered at local restaurants. Some fast food places have value meals that cost $10 or more, but this restaurant offered a similar price point with much better quality. My only complaint was that it was crowded when I visited and it took longer than anticipated to receive my food.

I had the lunch special, meat and two sides. Chicken breast, delicious mac cheese, and great baked beans! My friend had the pork and a rum cake. It was all excellent! The chicken was smoked, tender and juicy! Amazing! Too much to eat. Had to get atakeout box!

Locally owned restaurant that serves great catering and dine in food options, with tons of sides and cravings too. A great weekend dive with friends and family, come on Friday or Saturday night because they are closed SUN-MON!

Great food! Great portions! Definitely recommend this to anyone! The sauces are also amazing and the workers are nice. Will definitely be coming back.
