Casa Chaves - Matosinhos

I spend most of my summers in Portugal and when in matosinhos, my wife and i we had having lots of meals at Chaves, the food top notch the service great and worm people, and Mr. João the proprietary is an excelente person.

Food was devine. Very friendly local restaurant where mostly locals seem to eat. We were licking out our plates.

Perfect in every way, food is fantastic from specialties and traditional, fish and meat all perfect and delicious, service is unbelievable by owners and employees, I recommend 100

Small place, seemed to be a family restaurant, maybe 8 tables with a counter up front and wonderful, delicious food, and definitely the price was right! It is probably also open for lunch, maybe breakfast as well as far as we know. We were served by someone who was probably the owner who delivered our scrumptious food plus some extras. Just the place we wanted to be after a day at the beach. This is NOT a fine dining establishment, so don't go there looking for atmosphere, but we think it is a real treasure.
