Near Matsue Station. You have a bar. The rooms were great with lockers. It is a basic acommodation with washing machines for clothes and dryers. The only thing I didn't like is that the reception was not opened 24 hours, but still it's a good place to stay.
Had a 5-star experience thanks to the staff at this hostel. I booked a bed in the dormitory room and was settled and ready to sleep when another guest came and began to spray some of a bottle again and again. 15 minutes later, the whole room stanks of fragrant chemicals. He apparently sprayed Febreze on his clothes??? I'm sensitive to chemicals and it started giving me a headache, so I went to talk to the staff below. Not much English skill, but by google translate it understood and quickly put me in another room. A customer service. That reminds me why I never stay in dorms...
I stayed here while I was in Japan, it was a very inexpensive hotel for such a lovely dining experience, their food is incredible. The rooms are small, and shower facilities are separate as well as bathrooms but I didn't mind. There's a smoking room on two floors I believe, as well as a laundry room and other amenities such as a lounge, vending machines, coffee machines etc.
Booked a private room for 2 nights, pleasantly surprised by the layout of the building. Toilets , shared and on each floor. Showers for men and women on second floor , this system ensures that your amenities are kept clean all the time. The room I had was fitted with a double bed, fridge , hot water kettle, tv, towels, razor , toothbrush along with a comfortable chair and writing table. I could have brought my bicycle into the room as there was room to spare, but instead it is locked in off street workers access. The cafe bar setup is what I would call post industrial, big windows look out on the street, prices are reasonable. Great end to a days bicycle touring in Japan , plenty of hot water in the showers, early use is a must. On the downside was the drunk who came in at 2am and proceeded to run back and forward to the toilets to throw up, then at 7am two children ran screaming up and down the corridor till their parents pulled them inside, took half an hour.
