Tasty Choices - Mattawa

I tried eating there on 2 separate occasions .don't care for the cheap food products. I work in a resteraunt so I know what is what.no love in the food .

This is undoubtedly the best restaurant to eat at in Mattawa and should be your top choice. It's owned by a wonderful family with deep roots in the area, passed down through generations. The portion sizes here are 2-3 times larger than what you'd find at other local restaurants, all at a much lower price and with significantly better quality and flavor. Let's not overlook the fantastic staff—friendly, fast, and cheerful waitresses and cooks who enhance the experience. Be sure to visit this place, and then take a stroll across the road to enjoy the marina and the stunning views of the Ottawa River. It’s definitely worth the stop!

Andy and I had a wonderful meal at Tasty Choices. Andy insists that their buffet is the most homemade he's ever experienced. We'll definitely return!

The food is all homemade, but most of it seems to be frozen, and the prices are quite high. For a small poutine, a cheeseburger, and some cheese sticks, I ended up paying $22, which is laughable. I used to pay around $10 for the same items. Definitely not worth it.
