El Velero - Mazatlán

Es un lugar familiar, aceptan tarjetas, la comida es deliciosa

Excelente lugar para ir en familia disfrutando de la playa y gastronomía al igual que de buena música

As permanent Mazatlan residents, we visit Stone Island regularly best beach in 50 miles. El Velero is our normal haunt for one reason: Jesus. He has been our server from our first visit, and after 6 years of periodic visits, Jesus has become a friend. He welcomes us warmly, gets us set up under a palapa as close as possible to the surf line, takes our drink order, offers water for our pup, rustled up side tables and lounge cushions if not already present, and brings menus. Most of these actions occur without our prompting. The margaritas are as good as any served on this beach, and a grande size is standard. Food is the normal beach restaurant fare tacos, fish filets, deep fried or sautéed shrimp, burgers, etc. and the portions are hard to finish. El Velero has other friendly waiters, but I would ask for Jesus (tell him Pippin recommended him might get you a free cerveza).
