Had shrimp tacos were decent. Drinks were good. Only thing is live music playing and was way too loud. Couldn't have a conversation while eating.
Found this place at the recommendation of our hotel. I looked on Yelp and wasn't blown away by the reviews, but decided to try it, as the woman at the hotel said it was good. I ordered fajita nortena, which was clearly a fajita entree, but what's difficult about their menu is that there is no explanation of what any of it is. I had to ask the waiter about a few things, and while he was helpful and happy to do it, it makes exploring their menu and ordering a bit challenging and it's hard to know exactly what you're getting. I don't speak Spanish, and perhaps that would have helped knowing what kind of fajitas nortena was, or any of the other things on their menu. It would be helpful if they included a one-liner of what each entree was. That being said the fajitas I got were well-seasoned and tasty, and the tortillas were delicious and fresh. IMO, the portions were average-sized and the pricing was fair. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived, and we were seated right away and the waiter was good about refilling our soda beverages and checking in.
Came in for Friday dinner was caught a little off guard by the live ambience, but it meshed well with the crowd. Asked the waiter for a recommendation on a margarita, and well he was right on point with the mango chamoy maragarita. The fajita tampiqueña just as impressive as the margarita. Service was good all around, definitely will be stopping by again.
Stopped in today for a late lunch. Got the Cecina Huastek as recommended by the jovial bartender. He also advised margaritas were half price on Thursdays. Good suggestion. I had a regular one and then he made me one with real lime juice and no mixer. Fantastic! Food was good but the tortillas were the bomb. The regular menu items are expensive but once I learned how much food is on them it makes sense.
