Paprika Seafood Mexican Kitchen

We were greeted very friendly. Chips and salsa were great ! Shrimp cocktail was also delicious. We weren’t too found of the Fried rice that contained eggs. The lunch plates reminded us of the type of food at buffets. They weren’t bad, but just super greasy!!! Also the parking was somewhat absolute Very little parking

This so called restaurant is located at the corner of 23rd/Pecan next to the more popular Mrs. G's Tacos n' More in McAllen. I can't think of any business that is more rude and obnoxious to block off areas for Mrs. G's customers. The folks at Paprika make sure to park cars in such a way to create a barrier to deny access to the drive thru. I'm not sure what all the effort is for to keep customers away from Mrs. G's, no one is ever at Paprika. The food must be as horrible as the owners.

I'm gonna be a little harsh here, a good review from me is never easy. It really has to be earned. I will start off w the good points. *Friendly Service *Everything seems to be made to order *Easy menu and drive thru service *Starter Shrimp Soup has real baby shrimp and full of flavor *Daily specials all week Not so happy with : *Alfredo sauce lacked shrimp real parm cheese. I BIT INTO w HUGE BALL OF POWDER PARM cheese. *Shrimp and Fish was super flattened and although the batter was good the oil was needing to be changed because they were dark and oily. *Fish lacked flavor and was super squished and flat. *Rice was tasty but super oily *dissatisfied customer price vs food.

I had the fried fish and garnel and I was impressed by how good it was. the prizes are also great. look forward to my next visit.

Paprika is now my way to Taco Square in the morning. your house made mais tortillas are so good! I'd like to go to lunch as they dive. the food tastes fresh and made to order and is not too fat or salty (my two main complaints of Mexican seafood sites.) their interior is very clean and comfortable and the service is polite. the prices are not bad either. I am always a happy customer after eating in paprika!
