Addison's Steakhouse - McHenry

We were seated immediately and we arrived about a half hour before our reservation!! We had an excellent dinner for my husband’s birthday. The Filet Mignon steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster and salmon were delicious as well! Our server was funny and very personable. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially over Jameson’s Charhouse in Crystal Lake (service there is awful just to get a table). Service was excellent. Food was great. Tables were too close to each other. The people at the table next to us kept interrupting our conversation. The service, cocktails, soup and salad were top-notch. But... we all (party of seven) were disappointed by our steaks. The Sirloin was a Pate consistency I have never seen. You could spread it like butter. My Ribeye was clearly not the prime quality it said on the menu and it was raw in the center. Everyone 's steak wasn 't cooked to temperature. For Heaven 's sake... Texas Roadhouse does a better job. Hanna our server was terrific and deserves better. Lastly... We were there on Sunday and the small bar area was very loud with football fans. In fact, they had Sunday appetizer specials to attract football fans. This place needs to decide if it is a Sports Bar, or Steak joint... you can 't be both. Regrettably we won 't be back. Enjoyed the Fall Special of Orange Roughy in an orange saffron butter sauce. Also ordered a very wonderful drink: Toast Smoke: thought of cool nights around a fire pit. Tasted the vanilla, orange and Bulleit Bourbon with pecan wood smoke all the way home.
