Farris’ Family - Mcleansboro

Our first time to eat at Farris' restaurant. Friendly staff, Good Price, Very Good Food and homemade ice cream for dessert. We both had chicken fried steak and it was delicious and tender. They also serve breakfast all day. We will return when we can. It's always good to have a good meal to look forward to.

Cute, small, home town restaurant.We looked at the menu before coming and it listed a salad bar, however it wasn't open when we arrived, but they did make us a great salad upon request.Was a bit noisy, hard to hear people at our own table. We had 3 adults and 2 children order and our bill was $60 so average cost.They do not take cards! So have cash.The food was pretty standard. Friendly staff.

Low effort and poor quality. Grilled porkchop was overcooked and tasted of grill grease. Came with run of the mill powdered mashed potatoes and green beans straight out of the can. Mac and cheese was inedible. Just once I'd like to see a restaurant owner sit down and eat a plate of the food service slop they are so eager to turn to these days.
