I have never been happy with my meal there. The first time I got a pumpkin sandwich thing. There was too much cheese and not enough taste. Next time I got a pasta entrée that was literally 4 pillows of ravioli. I was still hungry when we left and it was very expensive .The last time I got a salad that was not too bad but kind of ordinary if I hadn't bought the extra chicken. It is very high priced for what you get and the service is hit or miss. Mostly miss. With so many places in McMahon's point go try them first.
We walked across the bridge from the rocks and around to here via Wendy's secret Garden– a gorgeous walk – which saw us ready for a coffee and some breakfast. both times I had the bruschetta with tomato, mozzarella and avocado drizzle with olive oil and it was simple and rustic and excellent. The coffee was very good and the ambience sitting out the front is great.Don't know what it would be like for lunch or dinner but I suspect very good.
Have been coming here for a year or so - with friends, in a couple with business colleagues. ... and it's so good I sometimes come on my own! (I'm lucky enough to live close by) Wonderful staff, top quality food - it's like a home away from home and Veronica and her team are amazing. You must come and eat here
We had the special 2 course meal. It was excellent! The staff were very accommodating and very friendly. We would come back.
We have returned to Olivo on Blue, this time for dinner. We were not disappointed. We had a 3 course meal with wine. PERFECT. The wine was Western Australian red, was excellent and reasonably priced. All 3 course were served in good time, were fresh and delicious. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive. It"s good to be served by well presented waiters that smile. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and parking was not a problem. If you are a visitor to Sydney, after you have had your dinner drive down Blues Point Road to the edge of the harbour and be rewarded with the fantastic setting.I have read some negative reviews concerning Olivo but I am at a loss to see how you could not enjoy this restaurant. Prices are mid range for Sydney. We recommend Olivo on Blue
