Hoss's Steak And Sea House - Meadville

The *Filet Mignon and *Flat Iron Steak were good but would like more seasoning on the steak even if it just salt and pepper but the garlic butter helps. Everything was hot and fresh.

Both filet mignon and flat iron steak were fine. The filet mignon needs be seasoned at least with salt and pepper to make it more flavorful instead of relying on the garlic butter.

The food was good overall. Steak was pretty good, potatoes with mash had some lumps. The server was fantastic and very friendly and fast. I wasn't with a shrink since I was a teenager, but would definitely return to another trip in this way.

This is the first time I was at a hoss since they closed the one in Erie PA. I'm always honest in my reviews, even if I hate to check a place I can't give a 5-star rating, I still think it's important to share my encounter / performance with others. The environment was very similar and familiar to the old Hoss in Erie PA, but for some reason the food tasted just differently from what I was also used when I went to Hoss at least twice a month because it was a nice place to get a good tasting without breaking the bank. It has a huge salad bar that literally has a ton of different things to eat, including soups, bread and desserts. The menu is about the same as it always was, even a few updates. Their steaks were always top for pricing. There are many seats with tables and stands and there are many parking spaces. The only reason I gave it only a 4-star rating is because, as I said, the food seemed easy as if there was a notch in taste and quality. If it's better if I go here the next time I'll update it. But now I was just a little disappointed. This doesn't mean that I wouldn't go back there, and I'm not convinced that someone would avoid it, because it's a nice decor and has good prices. Maybe I just went on a bad day. Hopefully the next time I go, the food taste and the quality will be more in line with what I was used.

We have enjoyed this restaurant many times over the years! When we want a good steak dinner this is where we go. If is affordable for us as retired folks; and we get the dinner with salad bar and dessert! All in one price. And the service is always friendly. This is where we celebrated our wedding anniversary and other important milestones.
