The Mad Hatters Southwest Grill

Update 10/27/19: since my first 2 star review 4-5 months ago I tried it twice again. The first time I was part of a great order that took much longer than expected to be ready as I got my food I was starving. That day I enjoyed my food, but I wondered if it was really better than my first time or if I was just so hungry. I returned to try it at a time when I did not starve. There was a guy who worked behind the counter this time and he was as friendly as the girl that worked my first time there, so customer service seems to be consistent. Again I enjoyed my food. The taste of everything seems much improved from my first visit. I still wish the Veggies were prepared more fajita style. The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is because it's a bit expensive, and some toppings that are usually at similar chains cost here extra, just a dollar or two at the final cost. Maybe in the future they would consider Qdoba style prices where there is a slightly higher flat price, but no charges except things like extra meat. Glad I gave this little company a second chance. When I came from a city and was underwhelmed by Meadville's food options, I was excited to see this place open. Try one night when I didn't feel like cooking. The girl really worked nice when she made my food. It was expected to pay in the Chipotle price class, but this was a tad more expensive. Anyway, my food got to go and when I came home, I was disappointed as there was not much taste to something. Maybe. I'll try them again when I hear that food is improved.

Excellent food!! Build your own tacos, burritos, nachos,and quesadillas with a variety of fresh ingredients. The chicken was tender and full of flavor. We loved the queso dip! Great salsa.

Mad Hatters is great! It's a Southwest style build your own food place with really good food. The Alice in Wonderland theme is tastefully done, even if the space is odd. Being a converted bar, the dining area is quite large and a bit curious, but comfortable none the less.

The food was amazing! I had the option to choose my ingredients and create my own dinner bowl just the way I wanted.

After my experience, the management reached out to me yesterday to address my concerns. I truly appreciate their effort to make amends following my disappointing first visit. The food was significantly better this time; both the burrito and salsa had improved flavors, and I'm eager to dine here again. However, I did place a delivery order for a scheduled time, but it arrived 30 minutes late, and unfortunately, the food was completely cold. The salsa had very little flavor, and the chips were subpar, with some being undercooked. I've been told to compare this place to Chipotle, which is similarly priced, but based on my experience, Chipotle offers much better value.
