Buhrig Funeral Home Crematorium

I myself, did not deal with Buhrig; my mother and uncle had made all the arrangements. I do know that they were very impressed with the responsiveness, professionalism, and options they had. I did, of course, attend my grandmother’s funeral, as well as the luncheon afterwards at Buhrig’s Gathering Place and I fully understood why my mom and uncle were so impressed. Kirk went above and beyond to keep my family calm and comfortable and helped out with any and everything we needed. The Gathering Place was so beautiful and cozy, it literally felt like you were half in a restaurant and half in someone’s beautifully decorated home. Also, my grandmother’s urn was gorgeous. She would have been very happy. I hope to not have to use their services again anytime soon, but I cannot recommend them enough to anyone that does!

We recently worked with Buhrig’s for the death of my father and then for a joined memorial service for my dad and my mom, who had passed shortly before my dad. They were wonderful- Classy, professional and respectful through the entire process. They were kind and helpful in dealing with the death of my dad, and they were also understanding and flexible in planning a dual memorial service for both of my parents- even though we used a different funeral home for my mom. We had several extensive meetings with Bob and Patti (celebrant) to discuss our plans and desires in honoring my parents. They listened to us and worked to with us to create an event that would truly honor my parents. We were beyond thrilled with how the celebration of life service turned out. We ended up exceeding the number of guests we had planned for, but Buhrig’s made sure that there was plenty of food. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was beautiful and joyful. They also took care of everything-From making and serving an amazing spread of food, to putting together beautiful memorial tables for my parents, and cleaning everything up and making sure all necessary belongings went home with us. They truly took all the worry out of what could be a stressful occasion. And, while we hope to not have to use their services again anytime soon, we cannot recommend them enough.

Kirk and his team could not have been more compassionate, honest, helpful, professional and caring during our experience planning our mother’s funeral service. Extremely deceitful with the prices. Told us the range was between 2900 and 4200. Then after 3 hours of paperwork, tells us it's 4500, but comes down to 4100 if paid in 24 hours? I asked what happen to the rest of the range and he states that the package is already 3200 and there are other mandatory fees so that range is completely a sales tactic. We just had a love one die the day before and this is what we get the following day. Awful experience
