Franco's Italian - Mechanicsville

I ordered those lunch special, lasagna. It was only about $10 and I think the lunch specials are available until about 3:00 p.m. on weekdays. It was absolutely delicious and tastes even better than homemade. The salad that came with it was delicious and a good size portion. My wife ordered a chicken Philly sub and she enjoyed it very much. Again a very good sized portion. We took half of her sub home and I ate the rest of it the next day and it was still delicious!

Great pizza but they keep jacking up a simple house salad! So today was the THIRD time I ordered house salad and it legit only came with lettuce, tomato and cucumber. No onion, no croutons, no salami provolone. At best it was like a garden salad. But they dont offer garden salad on the menu so in all cases, this salad was lacking proper ingredients. I dont know if its willful negligence or what but its pretty annoying when you don't know what you are getting each time you get takeout from this place. Oh and the Fried Zucchini was absolutely terrible. Never order that menu item.

Kind, friendly waitstaff Quick service. The food is excellent. Portions are large, you get twice as much as the competition for a similar price. Except lasagna which seems to stay the same every where.

The menu featured a rich selection of authentic Italian dishes and pizzas. I ordered the homemade pasta with shrimp in pink sauce, and it was absolutely delicious—with generous portions! My husband enjoyed his meat lover's pasta as well. We also couldn't resist the garlic knots and the Caesar salad, which were both fantastic. The owner came out to greet us and was very friendly, showing a genuine interest in how we were enjoying our meal. He even shared a bit about his background from Sicily. Overall, it was a delightful culinary experience! I highly recommend visiting for a nice glass of Pinot Noir or Chianti along with a great meal—you won't regret it!

We stopped here on our way home from Williamsburg after a late dinner at Busch Gardens. We ordered two medium pizzas, one of which was a Margherita. The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. The pizzas were ready right on time, and the food was fantastic. We would definitely stop here again; it was well worth the 5-minute detour from the highway!
