The Chicken Shanty - Medford

The portion sizes have been reduced by half and the prices have increased. This restaurant seems to be focused on maximizing profits, rather than providing quality food. The dishes were bland and unappealing. I will not be dining here again.

I was very excited to visit this restaurant! I am a huge fan of fried chicken, but unfortunately, it was not very good. The chicken was lukewarm and tasted like it had been sitting out for too long. I would have expected it to be made fresh to order when it was not busy. I may give it another chance in the future, but I was extremely disappointed this time.

We have been regular customers at this restaurant in east Medford since it first opened. The chicken strips used to be amazing and the portions were worth the price. However, there has been a recent change where the chicken strips seem to have less chicken and more breading and seasoning. In our last four orders, the three piece chicken strip basket consisted of very thin strips, with barely any chicken. It seems like the equivalent of about 1.5 strips compared to a year ago. Despite enjoying the food overall, I am not willing to pay $13 for a basket with such little chicken. I would be willing to pay more for a better quantity. I can get similar quality at a fast food restaurant for $8. I hope they bring back the quality that we were used to in the beginning, as it is important to keep original customers and supporters happy.

Hands down the best chicken sandwich in Medford Oregon. We have tried them all, and this is by far the best. We went to the East Jackson location, and were greeted by Amanda. She walked us through the menu and then brought us the meal incredibly quickly.The French fries are fantastic! I generally do not like white meat chicken (too dry! but theirs was perfectly moist andflavorful. The sauces were totally on point. All in all, a great experience, and we will be back!

Absolutely amazing. Would give more stars if I could. I ordered the chicken bacon avocado wrap w/ southern house sauce and peanut sauce with my friend. The food was made very fast, the chicken was moist and crispy, the lettuce and avocado were fresh,the fries were crispy, the peanut sauce was so good I could drink it. Definitely coming back for more!
