When you go to a chain restaurant, you typically don't expect much. The same old menu, staff that seem uninterested, and so on. But that was not the case at Prezzo Maidstone. This particular location is housed in a beautiful historic building, with classy decor and a great atmosphere. The staff were professional and attentive, without being too pushy. The food was delicious and everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The drinks are a bit expensive at £6.60 for a pint, but there are some reasonable options on the wine list. They also have a good kids menu available in two sizes. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We decided to have our wedding cake made by Hollie Heaver, even though we hadn't heard any reviews about her cakes because her prices were reasonable. Unfortunately, our experience with Hollie was a bit disorganised as we only met face to face once. The cake we received was a vanilla sponge cake instead of a fruit cake, with the tiers arranged incorrectly and not decorated as we had envisioned. The groom topper kept falling off during our wedding breakfast, which was embarrassing. In hindsight, I would not recommend Hollie and wish I had done more research and chosen a different baker, even if it meant paying more. Your wedding day is not something to take a chance on.
