The Huntsman - Medway

I have to say, our pre-family gathering for 26 people for the Christmas menu was fantastic. With 3 courses for £24.95 or 2 courses for £21.95, it was a great price. The food was delicious, hot, and served promptly, which is always a concern with such a large group. The staff did an amazing job taking care of every detail, and they even accommodated the children who didn't want the set menu. The pub is lovely and conveniently located up the road. Thank you once again for a wonderful evening - you made our pre-Christmas celebrations a beautiful memory.

The restaurant has a beautiful decor, is spacious with good service and friendly staff. The food is delicious, with a focus on BBQ style and high quality. There are TVs playing sports throughout the room, and there is plenty of seating available.

I went to The Huntsman for Sunday lunch and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious roast. The service was excellent and I will definitely be returning in the future.

I didn 't expect much from The Huntsman, from the outside it looks like a typical redbrick block like many other if that ilk. What a surprise, inside it is light, it is very nicely decorated, the serving staff were engaged and very pleasant. It has to be said it was a Tuesday evening and quite quiet as might be expected. However it was very nice for all that. It was refreshingly different. I had booked a table there for the 'Que Brew ' restaurant, I 'd had their bbq food as a takeaway a couple of times during lock-down and it for regular dinner with a friend. The pub and restaurant side are dealt with separately as separate businesses, so no opportunity to run a tab for drinks and food. Payment for drinks is taken separately from the food. Payment for both was made taken upon receiving the drinks at the bar and upon ordering the food (using a little payment touch pad). All the staff were very pleasant and engaged in what they were doing. My apologies now to our waitress for my feeble attempt at humour. The food was excellent, the simple lettuce wedge started was light, crisp and full of flavour. The bbq 'd main courses were clearly prepared fresh and arrived hot and again were full of flavour. There was music of a certain are being piped about, there were a number of large screen TVs offering BT sport (Champions League last night), but none of it was intrusive, It certainly appeared dogs were very welcome. Children were about, I imagine some were the guvnor 's. Having grown up in and around our family pub Scotland It all seemed very normal. Finally the place was very, very clean, a tribute to the management and their staff. I highly recommend The Huntsman for drinks and food and for a being a really nice friendly place.

Lovely staff. The food was delightful. We opted for the brisket and wasn’t disappointed. We also had the Katsu burger which my son polished off. It does what it says on the tin and I would happily go back.
