This restaurant is underrated but provides a great overall experience. The fish is particularly delicious!
I may not be an expert in Peranakan cuisine, but I found the food to be delicious. It was quite spicy, so be prepared if you're not used to it. The staff was friendly and spoke English, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a great experience.
The food is decent. The sotong stir fried with black sauce is good. Everything else just isn't great. Lime juice didn't look or tasted like lime juice. There were two servers, one who doesn't seem to be capable of taking orders or identifying any of the dishes. The other seems to be the owner of the place. After we manage to get a table and ready to order, we waited for some 20 minutes before the owner comes to take order. (I see a table of 8 people who left because no one came to take order) After which it took at least 30 minutes before our dishes were served. If the servers are busy, diners will probably understand. The owner just doesn't seem to be organised and most of the time nobody was there to attend to the diners.
Very bad dining experience. 2 PCs of small fish slice with one of them hollow below (stomach section) plus some fermented soy bean soy costs RM68. The 4 small rings cutter fish with asam sauce plate is hilarious, costs RM55. Avoid it if you can.
